Well, I'm sick, something got me. I hope it's not the bad one I don't even want to mention it. One of those things that comes along with illness is lack of sleep so I found myself midnight snacking last night and watching Showtime there was this movie called "Stuck." It was great. It was about a gal that hits a homeless dude pushing a grocery cart across the street, and he gets stuck in her windshield she keeps driving. She gets home pulls into the garage and shuts the door, leaving this poor dude stuck in her windshield. It was based on a true story, but I don't think the true story has as dramatic an ending as the movie. If you ever get a chance watch it. After the movie I conked back out slept late under my 3 comforter and sleeping bag toasty warm nest. An Edhat friend is going to turn me onto a couple space heaters to use, that will be nice for my little critters they get cold at night. Well onward and upward.
On Monday there was a medical emergency unknown type at Santa Barbara City College Administration offices. A structure fire was reported on Nicholas Lane in Montecito not sure what they found there first someone stated there was a fire in the attic or the ceiling but didn't hear alot more about it. Engines 1, 2, 3, truck 716, and Montecito fire engine 92 responded. Engine 2 responded for a unresponsive female in the bleachers at Cabrillo Ball Field but it was "Unfounded" There was no problem, in the 900 block of Barcelona Drive there was a public assist on ashes coming from a neighbors chimney onto another neighbors property, an audible alarm in the 1800 block of Anacapa, tree branch down Willow Glen at Foothill, first block of Clearview audible alarm, a call to check the welfare of a transient at 1213 State Street, a non injury hit and run investigation at the police department 227 E. Figueraa, a 459 burglary report taken missed the location but it was in the city, a code 40 drunk disturbing at Cottage Hospital in the emergency, on Catherdral Oaks tree down, North Patterson at Paseo Camino tree down, and a Be On the Lookout for an assault suspect out of Goleta on Nectarine Street.
Tuesday: Some idiot went to his ex-wife’s house shoved her around then pushed his young boy to the ground threw paperwork in his wife’s face then left. Probably the reason she’s divorcing him he sure doesn't deserve to be a father. He was driving a white pickup truck with a red cab.
Some transients ripped off a shirt from a store on State Street. I'm pretty sure at least one was caught. There was a medical emergency at 617 Garden for a 55 year old male complaining of dizziness, at 27 West Micheltorena another medical for a 50 year old woman passed out, there was a check the welfare of a 40 year old woman not seen since Sunday who is an alcoholic-addict. At 1:45 P.M. Two uncooperative subjects were screaming in the back of a police car on their way to County Jail, a medical for an unconscious male in the 200 block of West De La Guerra.
A Jeep Cherokee caught on fire and by the time Engine 3 got there it was fully involved and it burnt to the ground. Police were seeking a man who urinated in public behind a fast food joint in the 800 block of North Milpas, on East Valley there were two men riding around in a Mazda Miata, a red one trying other car doors in the area, Medical emergencies a 67-year-old man fainted in the 1200 block of Olive, a 50-year-old woman was numb and vomiting else where but in town, police ran a group of people for "Wants and Warrants" at Cabrillo Ball Field, and took some in, one a female had several warrants for pretty serious charges, " Hit and Run, drinking and driving, one was for 10,000 grand. There was a report of a washing machine which had been burglarized for it's cash box and at the same time a call from a Sheriffs deputy to his dispatcher "Can you call city P.D. And ask if they have had a washing machine reported stolen?" 23152 Drunk Driver 1988 Blue Toyota pick up truck swerving all over the road with gardening tools in the back the registration came back to a home on Robbins this was reported to be near Portsuello and Modoc right near La Cumbre Junior High on a school day.
There was a medical emergency for a man fainting in the Neurology dept on Nogales, street. I missed where but a County Deputy was requesting a coroner, I don't know what happened on East Guiterrez at Santa Barbara at the discount store but there were several units there, at Micheltorena and San Andreas there was an injury Traffic accident between a vehicle and pedestrian.
There was a 20002 hit and run investigation in the first block of North Milpas, engine 4 responded to the 3600 block of State Street for a heart attack, a confused woman was reporting that she was robbed by 2 men inside her home in the Bulletin area off Highway 246 saying that she was asleep when they arrived heard no more of it. Heard another weird one although missed location it sounded like one kid was reporting that another kid was lighting himself on fire? But I think he was really saying that his friend was lighting things on fire, lighting yourself on fire hurts. But then again something in the air must have just been passing thru because Santa Barbara Police had a report of Three young gals in wearing pajama bottoms attempting to break into a building in the first block of East Cota it sounded like maybe they were the great great granddaughters of Larry, Moe, and Curley, not their real names. Another 1144 possibly in the Noleta area but not sure. A carbon monoxide alarm going off on Oceanview. And that's about it for now I did hear on my scanner just now that a dog was found on Highway 101 dead near Los Positas just now the CHP is responding they might even be there. Someone was laying it thick on me the other night about how people treat their animals like people he couldn't come right out and say that I am one of those people I don't know why? I have no problem admitting that I love my cats they are my family. Lock me up! So when I heard about that dog getting hit I felt bad, I love animals more than most people and I'm not afraid to say it. I think the police do too and that's real important, poor doggy. See ya all Friday, Roger
