It's Turkey Day
updated: Nov 26, 2009, 8:18 AM
There's turkey in the air, and friends & family on the sofa. The dedicated staff had Thursday off. What's up with you today?
Oh, yeah ... if take any good pictures that capture the day (that you'd like to share), email them to ed@edhat.com to post in our turkey day photo gallery.

I'm dying to know about that high speed chase this morning! We heard what sounded like a motorcycle and two police vehicles screaming down Miradero at 3:30 this morning....anyone?

Mmmmm, good smells from the kitchen and fun friends coming for dinner and football. Very relaxed, family far away, we know they're enjoying the day too! Blessings to everyone.

Two dinners to attend, and my family's using all home-grown, or locally sourced, or naturally raised ingredients! Hot tubbing later. And what a great day for it.

Every year we wonder the same thing ... what's the best type of wine to serve with a big turkey dinner? We're leaning toward red, but some people like white, too.

I wrote it somewhere else but drunk driver he was might have just been nuts clipped some cars hit a curb on State. CHP Chased him into the Alamar area, then requested code 3 back up from city P.D. He crashed on Mountain Drive 400 block was transported to Cottage all I know. I just happened to wake up at 4 and turn on the old Pro-135. I don't have an oven so one of my neighbors are cooking my good pal Belinda's mine, and Injun Jim's turkey we will probley share if anyone happens along. Laura Miller, wife of Howard Miller, of the" Howard Miller Band" she cooks like my Mama. I'm kinda watching Football off and on and hanging out here the cats are getting Turkey too. The scanner is alittle slow right not might shut it down till later.

Fun to get an idea what the holiday is like in our EdHat family. :)
We decided to stay home this year, and Dad flew up from San Diego to join us and another pilot. All the turkey talk reminded me of the wild turkeys we saw with Dad last month in suburban Norwalk, CT on our Big Adventure. So glad we got to return here to be home, rather than some of the places we flew over.
May your homes and holidays be filled with warmth and memories.

Morning: 14-mile bike ride started at day-break. Yes, waived, nodded, "kumbayaed" with peds and bikers alike ;-) ... (one mtn biker didn't return the favor) Went to SB Roasting Co. for the TG treat of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and 100% Kona (no extra cost). Turkey is in the oven. Healthy and beautiful family
Now: Food coma and AMC marathon likke Dan39 mentions.

Giving thanks to living in Santa Barbara with many good friends to share dinner with today and every other day of the year; my four dogs are happy and well and providing "best friend" services every day without a single complaint, having just enough funds to "hang in there" during these awful economic times, and did I say, having the good fortune to enjoy living in this beautiful town?! -- and, of course, having Edhat to read everyday!
