High pitched sound in Goleta

Last night there was a very loud and high pitched sound emanating from the industrial area in the vicinity of S. Kellogg and Armitos Avenue in Goleta. I first heard the sound at around 1am and it lasted at least until 4am. Anyone know what it was or have more information?
