Smoke check - scanner update
updated: Nov 15, 2009, 9:41 AM

Source: Roger the scanner guy

A hiker on the Romero Trail spotted what he thought to be smoke in an area just north of Summerland in the hills. This bought a full response for a smoke check in the area Engines from Montecito and Carpinteria are checking areas up in the hills there so if you see the fire personnel, wave. Since the itinal sighting the hiker has reported he no longer sees the smoke, he was the only one to report it. Even so these fire companies checked Ortega Hill North of Summerland, Toro Canyon, the Ladera Connection, Toro Canyon Park, and East Valley on the hill, Montecito 91 reported smoke comming from a BBQ in the 800 block of Toro Canyon Road at someones home, besides that it's all clear.
