834, why so snippy? These people are volunteering their time and bodies for a very worthy cause. I thank each and every one of them. All of their hard work is appreciated!

I saw a few of these riders breaking major rules of the road.... And there was no SBPD reactionary cyclist take down team to distribute citations?

Chill, 875! Geeze Louise! Far more people break the rules of the road in vehicles than all cyclists combined! Have you seen in the last 24 hours: people on cell phones while they drive? Doing the "California Slide" at stop signs? Going at least one mile over the speed limit? Parking illegally in a handicap spot? Get the picture here. Big whip! At least these people are on bikes & not behind the wheel!

A couple of facts I learned about this event, it is a "tour" not a race. So, there are 300 riders and I did not observe any traffic violations or disrespect of community law while biking briefly through our town. They have raised over ONE MILLON dollars for charity with this event, not bad in my book. I think the pesimistic comments seem to be unfounded but I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion.
