We lost a legend! As a grom, I learned how to skateboard and snowboard on Sims boards! He had a huge impact on my life and on the lives of millions! Such a loss. My prayers go out to Tom's family.

I'm not a snowboarder but what great contribution this guy made to the sport - sounds like he basically invented the sport. He is out of the classic California surfer innovator mold like O'Neil in Santa Cruz. So sorry he passed away. Would be curious if he had ongoing heart problems or if this was totally out of the blue. Condolences to the family.

Does anyone have any information on services? Will there be a local service? This is for a friend of the family. Thank you!

I hope I'm the only one who missed the Butterfly Beach memorial "Paddle Out" for Tom. Never heard a word about it, until after it was done. Never saw any announcement.
