Jokes aside, they both might be still alive thanks to the friend. Willing to be injured to save a friend. He probably grabbed him as he jumped, therefore dragging them both down, but keeping him from leaping straight to the ground. Then they probably tumbled down part of cliff..

Aw :( I hope the suicidal man is able to enter therapy (well, he'll probably go on a 5150 hold) and see that there is light after a break-up. Congrats to his pal who was a true friend (although a bit risky) in trying to save his friend.

Police say they later discovered the first man had purposely jumped from the cliff in a suicide attempt after a breakup with his longtime girlfriend. Police say it appears the second man jumped in an attempt to save him. W T F? @943: Lots of 'probably's' did you witness this?
