"The alleged fumes of alleged alcohol where allegedly evident to the first alleged neighbors on the alleged scene." You're kidding, right?

925: That's how the Daily Sound used to word things in their "crime report," which was always good for a chuckle and two groans. Maybe a former staffer? Probably just an attempt at non- litigious humor.

Loved your post! I have sympathy for living in a common accident area, but at least my house can't be hit.

Where'd the passenger go after the accident? I heard the passenger airbag was bloody but alleged passenger had disappeared.

OP here - yes I was truly (not allegedly) having fun with that overly cautious politically correct word. I certainly did not want to implicate any of my neighbors as being possibly there without first consulting them and getting their permission in writing prior to Gloria Allred representing them. As for the (thank you 017p) alleged passenger, the first neighbors on the scene saw the male passenger get out and one neighbor talked to him as he exited the vehicle. After fire and police arrived (why the SB Police? We are in the county on a State Highway.) they were looking for "a second person." The unconfirmed story at that point was the female was saying she was the passenger. Sorry I didn't get the camera and take pics - where were the Urban Hikers? P&S you let me down!.

Ha ha 109. If you're going to drink and drive, don't! My daughter and I were reading in bed on Paseo del Descanso and we heard everything LOUD and clear. There was a giant crunch, then a long grinding squeal, then another giant crunch that sounded like an explosion. The whole thing sounded horrific. I got scared for my kid even though I was lying there looking at her. We walked around the block and there were police/ambulance/fire (who came w/o sirens) and lots of neighbors. People were freaked, but relieved to find that despite the horrific noise there were, apparently, no bad injuries. The couple whose Passport was totaled were there, I'm guessing in a mild state of shock. They had babies in the house. They told me the Passport, which was parked on the side of the road, was pushed forward into the rear of their other car, parked in the driveway, so both their cars got damaged. There was so much glass on the ground, we didn't walk past that point, so we didn't see much else. Firemen up the road appeared to be putting a neck brace on a person sitting on the ground. We went home, and by the time we got there, it was all just crickets once more.

Was on the scene as well last night and witnessed two policemen pulling two smaller sized paperbags out of the Mercedes, and placing them on the hood while doing a thorough search. They were also taking pictures of the bags. I confirm a neighbor reported the woman smelling very strong of alcohol. Stop drinking and driving jerks!

WTheck is up with Janet Wolf! Another problem on Foothill. A death of Hollister by Arboleto. How's that traffic calming coming along? Broken promises.

I used to own the home at 3005 Foothill road and constructed the protective fence there to cut down road noise from vehicles. I used to park my Porsche out front on Foothill facing East. It is the only piece of road there that was new enough at the time to require a curb and parkway be constructed when the home was built. Sure enough, one night about 2:30 am there was a tremendous boom as some one plowed into the back of my Porsche parked out front and then fled (must have been limping along) trailing parts and vehicle water and oil up and around Tye road. I don't believe the police ever caught the hit and run driver. Late night Foothill road, particularly eastbound, is the alternative to the freeway for the DUI drivers closing down bars and hoping to avoid police detection.
