Nice photos of the hummer, especially the second one. Yes - you need to get up to the courthouse tower more often. Great views and pictures from up there. Also a nice place to take out-of-town visitors for a good overview.

I did not see the Clock tower. I saw a picture of the Old Mission and St. Anthony's Seminary or whatever it is called today.

I was on jury duty last year & went up to the tower a couple of times. What a treat it is!

Almost all of the hummingbird photos you find on cards, in magazines, are set up in studios or taken from blinds. If from blinds, photo is staged as well. Either way, the photos are rarely "natural." You did well with your shots. Good job. Cannot believe you waited so long to go up into Courthouse Tower, though. It is the one place I send all tourists. Whenever I meet visitors to our beautiful town, I say "You must go up into the tower and enjoy the 360-degree view. You will love it. AND it's FREE!" I like to think I have enhanced many peoples' enjoyment of SB. I LOVE your shot of the Old Mission. Excellent view.
