I kind of agree with the post that was deleted. On this day 11 years ago 343 firefighters lost their lives. Seems kind of odd to run a story about the "comical" Santa Barbara firefighters.

604, no amount of prop or costuming work will ever make them less dorky looking. Now, having said that I just want say that I take the work these trained professionals do very seriously and commend them for doing it.

Great photos! I notice that when TV shows or movies have hazardous materials experts in them, the suits are well fitting, and look much less cumbersome to wear. The head coverings are also smaller. Interesting what the prop and costume people do, huh?
