Amazing vocal range? What? I saw him on SNL and he couldn't sing the chorus of his hit single in key!!! A true musician, right. Where is Lester Bangs when you need him?

Ya, listen to his entire album. Lots of great songs other than the popular one. Bronte in particular is just incredible, as is the vid. Judging an artist for one song without listening to the rest is kind of silly lame.

I worked at the bowl that night and didn't know what to expect. I became an instant fan. Went home and listened to his other albums, which I thought were great. He should not be judged by that one song, which is sooo played out.

557 & 473.. I kinda thought the same thing, so I was DELIGHTED at all the amazing music, sounds, songs and vibe of this show! He and his back up band were the real deal. Gotye has an amazing vocal range (same for the lead singer in Chiarlift, she reminded me of a young Bjork) Awesome bass riffs, sweeeeet rhythym guitar and music arrangments with some regge type and surf style tunes to nice ballads. They (musicians) are all so talented. Each song had a different and very artistic accompanying video/animated cartoon and story, beautiful visuals. A multi-sense experience. I was spellbound....The concert was great fun and those who did not attend, MISSED OUT!!

Does he have more than one song? How many times did he play his hit? I thought the tickets were so cheap becuase it was going to be a one song concert.

Hipster snooze-fest, (but good for him that he at least now qualifies as a one-hit-wonder, got to at least give him that). Overall, we're mired in another wave of pseudo-music style propagated by the indier-than-thou crowd. In the 90's, the new vibe was alt-rock swing, but at least Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Squirrel Nut Zippers were entertaining.

Go on YouTube and see "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. Then watch the spoof, also on YouTube. Just type in "Somebody That I Used to Know--WOTE." It's the vid with over 10 million views. A must see. Watch and watch again. So many great jokes.

Definately a small following. We loved his performance. A true musician, he bounched around from instrument to instrument. Chairlift was OK, hard to understand the lead singer. Missed Jonti, as he played early at 6:30. Not sold out. MTV was recording so many people were re-seated to GA or prefered seating due to the equipment blocking views. I thought for the price it was a good deal.

How was the size of the crowd? Pit tickets were still available for sale a week before the show. Not a good sign of a sellout in the tiny bowl.

He needs the visual art because his music is boring.

Most overplayed song in recent memory. Hope everyone enjoyed the rest of the music though as Gotye has some good stuff.
