My friend was the person who had her bike stolen. We were sitting in the grass by the beach on Cabrillo talking to a friend of hers with our backs turned to the trike when some homeless bum snuck up and rode away on it. We contacted the police and a few hours later we got a call from them saying they found it! And the bum was hauled away!

I think I saw that guy. Tricycle. Basket under the seat? Maroonish. NOT a schwinn? Some other brand. I noticed him as I have wanted one of those for a long time. I could maybe pick him out of a line-up as I almost rolled down my window and asked him if he wanted to sell it! but the light changed and I had to move along. Shaggy looking fella.

Just took a drive by the harbor to see the USS Halsey. I'm happy to report that I was not bitten by a pit bull, was not accosted by homeless people, was not stabbed by a gang member, and wasn't bothered by helicopters zipping back and forth from Cottage Hospital. All in all, it has been a good day.

I must admit to relief that it's not yours, Roger! Scummy crummy. But hard to hide and easy to track, no?

Is this related to the cop cars pulled over and talking to someone in the Milpas Underpants 10-15 mins ago? Or was that just another of what must be dozens of calls each day in Vagrantland?
