Couldn't be drugs, because drugs are harmless. Something else must have made this loving boyfriend turn into a murderous monster.

My heart goes out to her loved ones, as well as the suspects family.

Absolutely heartbreaking. She sounds like a wonderful young woman who was surrounded by a close and loving family. Very, very sad.

Very sad for this young woman, her family, and the suspect's family.

Sad for all concerned, but mostly for her family. Nothing, but nothing, is worse than loosing a child!

Can't begin to imagine how both parties' parents feel...

Usually domestic violence is learned in the home. That's why it is so important to break the cycle when it occurs. Domestic violence solutions does great work in our community. I wish they could have helped this young woman so she could still be with us.

You can see from the interviews that her friends and family misses her terribly.

The news showed a picture of her family taken during the holidays - you can see the love they have for each other. They must hurt so much. I am so sorry for their loss. This is beyond sad.

Kind of scary,guess you never truly know someone's true colors,even if they are intelligent enough to get into UCSB and seem safe.What an idiot, had the world at his fingertips and goes psycho over some gal.This comes on the heels of letting the kid who mowed down 10 people in his Beemer on BP ten years ago get out of Patton hospital because he was deemed sane. Are you kidding me,10 years in a hospital not prison,and because he is taking his meds and seems normal he get's set free with a full life ahead of him?Judges here are way to lax when it comes to people claiming insanity and getting out, or sex predators doing 6 years for rape.My basketball coach at SBHS got 6 years for raping senior citizens and dementia patents,now he strolls around town like nothing happened with a smile and chuckle,makes me sick.I hope this killer gets life,you murder or rape you get life,especially if deemed insane,what is wrong with these judges?

@316832

I don't know whether it is due to drugs, but you seem to be hallucinating; no one, anywhere, has ever claimed that (all) drugs are harmless, and there's no indication that they have anything to do with this murder.
