Didn't they know they could get all the free food and services they wanted just a few miles south in Santa Barbara? Or, were they robbing and beating up people for something else.

What's up with that smirk on her face? She's not looking shamed. Now he on the other hand seems to be at least temporarily humbled. Maybe she needs to see the wood chipper to loose the smirk.

Note they did not find the box cutter until they got her to JAIL. Folks, that means she had it hid real well, as in hidden where the sun don't shine. That is very gross. And could have posed a danger to the arresting officers. Creepy.

@870 Funny!!!! I think we need a chain gang program for these type of criminals. Some kind of hard labor for a meaningful length of time. Something sweaty with fly's and not fun.

Classy place we've got here. I shop over there all the time--sometimes later in the evening, I always felt it was a safe shopping area--guess not. Hope somebody in jail knocks that smirk off her face.

Is there a transient camp in that area? Reason not to tolerate any of these camps anywhere. Wonder if there have been home burglaries in that area, private homes are usually their target. If you live in the area and are aware of transient camps report it or you could be the next victim.

Was't there a fire in one of those camps off the 101? Wonder if they were involved in that? Pretty dang foul these two. Looks like in the end they'll be net takers NOT net contributor's.

New here. Can someone say what "near " means? I like to get lunch at Rusty 's and sit in the car in the parking lot to eat it under the trees. This no longer seems like a safe thing to do.

Anyone notice the gangsters that visit the businesses in the Fairview OSH shopping center? They go in pairs from business.to business, wait in line for the cashier while looking around menacingly. After brief talks with the cashier, they leave without merchandise. We did witness money exchange though, then they move on to the next store front and do the same.

These two individuals had frequented the Goleta Library for up to three hours a day for the past ten days or so. I am glad to say that I had them evicted and banned (courtesy of the the Goleta Sheriff's Dept.) from the library just two hours prior to this incident.

See if you would only had let them continue to live in the Library this wouldn't have happened. Maybe Goleta needs to build housing for the homeless too. They can use the success of the Santa Barbara program as a model. If you give them a place to stay while they're not wanting to work everything would be fine. Just make sure they get their EBT card.

Living in SB in San Roque for almost 50 years we have gradually moved our shopping venues to Calle Real and Calle Real Marketplace, to get away from the panhandlers and vagrants. Now they have discovered these two areas where is there to go? Beautiful downtown Casmalia ?

What a sad looking twosome, especially the dude - that eye makes me wonder what the hell he ran into? Though it's hard to imagine now, but it struck me (looking at that sad, poked-out eye) that these two were once someone's sweet little babies. Oh, the humanity!
