I remember a few years ago there was a wild pack of dogs spotted in the local BC. Maybe they came into town to get some free meals, drive the locals crazy and relax before they return to their home in the hills.

Animal Control just came by (8:30 ish, Ortega Ridge/Ortega Hill) said they were spotted on the QAD trail. 2 German Shepards. Advised if you go walking carry an umbrella.

There was a pit bull loose in our neighborhood on the Mesa yesterday, scary stuff. SB seems to have a large amount of dogs running around loose. Strange that in some cases the owners actually allow them to do it. It makes more sense when you live int he woods up in Tahoe or something but in SB not so much

I am starting to think that it's no longer the Pit Bulls fault for being crazy... Have you looked at their owners? They are the ones *usually* looking crazy/with issues.

Pit Bulls? or other typical "dangerous dogs?" Talking of such, check this link regarding banned dangerous dogs in the UK. After a bit of quick research, one finds these and a few other dogs are not allowed in many countries & areas of the world. Hmmm Wonder if they might be onto something here?

Interesting, 948P: The Staffordshire Terrier is allowed in the UK but the American and the Irish Staffordshires are banned. (Staffordshire Terrier is another name for "pit bull".) From dogbreedinfo.com: After dog fighting was banned in the United States in 1900, two strains of these dogs were developed, a show strain and a fighting dog strain. The show strain was labeled the American Staffordshire, while the fighting dog strain was labeled the American Pit Bull Terrier.

Hmmmm. I think those dogs would be known to the neighbors. If it's them, they've been in trouble before, in the city limits. I think they speak German.
