I would be glad the kid felt comfortable enough to tell me that they stole something, but I think I would "pretend" to call the cops and figure out a way to get the stolen item back to it's rightful owner... And, make the kid write an apology letter to the victum. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Kids need to be able to trust their parents. Now, that kid will NEVER tell their parents anything, ever again.

I got the vicks it's all over the house I was having coffee when a cute little brown mouse climbed up on the table next to my computer and said "Waz Up?" Well at least they aien't Deer Mice I haven't seen any antlers on their heads..

Roger-- Vicks Vapor Rub works as well as peppermint, it's the same ingredient--menthol. VVR is easier to find and cheaper too.

If I found out my kid stole from his teacher I wouldn't call the cops either UNLESS he had been stealing habitually and nothing was working to get him to stop. Unless the teacher presses charges, which she probably WON'T, it will scare the heck out of the boy and could prevent him from stealing in the future. It's not a bad idea, we can only protect our children from so much before the real world comes into play and kicks their butt. The more we bail our kids out from serious things like theft, the less likely they will learn not to do it and the more likely they will end up with real adult consequences when caught by someone that doesn't know & care about them.

Uh, if my kid told me, or if I found out, that they stole something, the last thing I would do is involve the cops.

I love that Kava tea!!! Puts you right to sleep and calms you down if you have had a hard day.
Trader Joes used to sell Kava juice (like a fruit flavored punch) but stopped carrying it about 15 years ago.
