Urban Hikers, Thanks for the "rest of the story" (as Paul Harvey used to say). So glad the pizzas weren't wasted.

I'm sure it's a typo, but shouldn't it read 'Cabrillo' (not Carrillo)?

Wow...800 pizzas were almost lost. Tens of dollars in damage!

Now we just need someone to donate 200 gallons of ice cold beer and we'll really have ourselves something!

LOL
I have a friend who was driving a big rig pre GPS and was on a hwy by Chicago, he had to stop and back down the hwy because of a low over crossing

His GPS was not a trucking GPS, so it directed him to the offramp. The difference in height was about 4 inches. A car gps won't note things like low overhangs, whereas a nice GPS for truckers will.

I believe the pizzas were all donated, so as not to go to waste.

He was a distracted driver, looking at his GPS, that is why he crashed his truck. Cell drunks and GPS drunks statistically are about as alert as intoxicated drunks. Be careful out there.

Ah yes, the infamous professionalism of truck drivers. This guy, or his insurance, is now on the hook for beaucoup buques! Not too much of a stretch to imagine he won't be driving professionally for anyone in the immediate future.

Please folks, if you have a job.... pay attention, cherish it, don't take it for granted as millions are still looking to be hired into positions and at salaries much reduced from what they had after the Bush Financial Implosion.

Did they let the air out of the tires to get the truck out?
I remember that one from grade school! ;)

Every few years that happens. Amazing the drivers can't judge their truck won't fit under the low bridge. Thanks Urban Hikers. You saw it 1st on Edhat!

I could have run right down there, if there were any good vegetarian pizzas on board. You should have called me.
