This is a problem within the traffic department at Cox. If you are worried about it, you should notify Cox. They may not be aware if the issue. If the advertisers are watching or if they pay attention to the reports they receive telling then how long their spots actually run, then they will be addressing the issue. The advertisers can remedy the issue by either not paying in full for those spots or receive free spots from Cox. (oh, and this is cable advertising in a small market, it's pretty inexpensive to adverse here).

It's been for a few weeks, and every single ad seems to be cut into. Was waiting for someone else to bring it up. Thanks 460, sounds like a good explanation.

The ads that are being cut in on are ads that are primarily designed for the Sat (Dishnetwork and Directv) customers or viewers of cable entities that do not do ad cut ins on cable channels. Cox's system is probably not getting the imbedded signals correctly for their system to time the automated cut in's correctly.

At 3:30 Cox appears to be out in the north fairview area. Anyone else experiencing an outage?

A day doesn't go by without fragmented ads on Cox.

Yes i've noticed lots of cut-off commercials lately, but i didn't notice that it was always a Cox ad that cuts them off -- i'll have to notice next time it happens! If so, Cox needs to get it together.

Wonder if the local advertisers know what's happening. Some of those advertisers should try Edhat advertising; many readers enjoy Edhat more than most TV.

I see this all the time. My daughter and I were laughing that for some of them, we never do find out what product is being sold!
