This is very sad news. I'm sure it won't give any kind of pause to those who immediately assumed he had run off due to drunken driving guilt, but I hope in the future some people here can hold their speculation when a fellow human being is missing from the scene of an accident. It seems like he was injured and/or disoriented and walked away from the accident.

Very sad inteed, and so many more questions; how did he get from the scene of the accident to almost 3 miles away, and then end up in the lake? Somehting just doesn't add up here.

There was follow up, just no news. Multiple searches: humans, scent dogs, cadaver dogs. Such a sad ending.

I've really been wondering about lack of follow-up on this man who walked away from his car accident and was never seen again - this sounds like he was pretty close to the crash site, wonder if there was a search.
