We live on the beachfront just north of the area captured in your exquisite photo. When our son was very young my husband and I would often take him and our family dog Rita on long walks down to the slough...what a joy for all of us...seems like yesterday. Our son is now 23, graduated from NYU this year and is living in Brooklyn working as a cinematographer. I will forward your photo to him - he will appreciate your exceptional photography, and it will bring back wonderful memories. Thank you!

Very nicely composed and rendered images of a dramatic sunrise. It is one of the unfortunate requirements of a landscape photographer that one has to get up early to capture the good light. I am working hard to develop my skills shooting at noon with diffuse, flat, uninteresting light.

Angelica.... I don't think Ed was calling it a lucky shot. Rather that Aquaholic was lucky to have been present to witness such a scene especially since, by her own account, she's not in the habit of heading out to shoot that early in the morn.

Thank you for the encouraging comments, it helps a lot. I learn more every day, and some days, I learn something that I should have known all along!...it's a process & a journey. @EMI....I got there 5:30ish...like I said, the birds were still asleep!
