Just drove by - some flames and smoke visible from the 101. Looks fairly small - KEYT had just pulled up.

Not to sure what is going on People radioing in seem to be having radio trouble. Ruefgo Road, follow the main road thru the main gate trying to get to the top of the fire. 2 Tankers inbound eta 20 minutes should be around 5:30pm.

Fire is 5 Acres copter 308 knocked the head of the fire out another chopper coming in 7 minutes..

Sounds like the fire is diffcult to get to. A rancher gave them some advice of getting to the fire quicker.

Sending the Air Tankers back to Paso Robles, so they are using hand crews & choppers to mop up. Closing 101 down to 1 lane Northbound. Anyone hear how it started? Fortunately winds are light.

The one in Ventura is 15 acres and growing. You can see the smoke pretty good on a few webcams down there.

The wildfire down in Ventura is burning near Arroyo Verde Park. As of 6:30 pm it was 15 acres. It's near avocado orchards.

Listening to the Ventura Fire on Radio Reference... numerous "hot" power lines down (16,000 volt lines) and fireman can't communicate where the fire is... they can hear, but not transmit. Brining in additional repeaters.

Helicopter making one last pass on the fire before returning to San Bernardino.... sounds like they might have the upper hand on the Ventura fire.
