Whoa!!!!! I was out walking my dog and heard the sirens ( was out on the bluffs ) Ellwood is getting super scary lately -- tons of stabbings, car arson, home invasions - remind me why homes cost 740,000 $? Such beauty being wasted.

KEYT has a story up saying they are looking for both a black guy and a white guy (with long blonde hair) in their 20s and that the stabbing victim is a black man in his 30s and that all three know each other. Brad McVeigh (a guy I know!) at the Sheriff's office was interviewed. The show the blood by the pool! Yuck! Noosehawk says they are looking for a guy named Michael Glover and that the victim is Jamal Blue and that it took place on the 7100 block of Davenport Rd. in Goleta. They also say that Glover is a recent parolee and had been living with Jamal and his Mother at The Grove condos on the 7600 block of Hollister. I live on the 7600 block of a parallel street less that 1/2 mile to the South! Scary! If you Google "Michael Glover Goleta" you'll see an SB Sheriff web page with a story from Feb 2011 about three people arrested after a chase in Goleta. There's pictures of all three occupants of the car, including Michael Glover... who appears to match the above description!

My husband called me out to our backyard to see the police helicopter sweeping an area south of us. He mentioned "Edhat?" as I ran back inside to do just that, check Edhat. :) Roger, thanks for keeping us up to date. You rock!

Lived adjacent to those apartments for years. Drunken brawls in the parking lots were a biweekly occurance. Lots of gang signs originate from that part of the neighborhood as well.

Funny story- I was reading this string on Edhat last night and started wondering where my child was. Tried calling no answer-finally ten minutes go by I get text- "I was drving-You called?" I text back saying "just wondering where you are-address?" child text backs and says "Daytona-not sure of the house nbr but I'm gunna come home because there is some sketchy stuff happening here" I texted back and say "yes please". long story short they were on way to Haskell's beach and picking up friend and saw one of the guys run by them with no shirt. Followed by cops and the helicopter. Scared them both pretty badly. So happy that they would rather come home though instead of staying in the mist of all that. Thanks Edhat family:)

I moved out of that complex about 8 years ago because it was starting to go downhill. The drunken spousal abuse next door that ended with a fight in the parking lot involving a police dog was one highlight. Another was my upstairs neighbor who was evicted, but then used a ladder to climb in his window at night and continue to sleep there. That finally stopped when the police raided his apartment, I think for selling drugs. While all this was going on the management was harassing me because I had too many flowerpots outside my front door. I had heard they had cleaned the place up, but I guess not.

043, Lived in those apartments for the last two years, worked extensively with gang students in our community, and never once saw a gang member or gang signs in that apartment complex. I really liked living there.

I think this story has more to do with the story below it. You never know who your going to live next door to. A few years back some SWAT team members came in my little house with a warrent for the guy whom lived next door he was a heroin dealer. I was so drunk I didn't care I offered them a beer.

Do a "deep search" on edhat for "Michael Glover" or a Google search for "Michael Glover goleta edhat." I think that might be the Michael Glover they're looking for for this stabbing. This story on edhat had more information than the sb sherrif website... but same mug shots.

On the previous "Michael Glover" story, I noticed that a reader commented "What about the mug shot of Cassandra Anderson?" (which was missing) who was also arrested back in the Feb 2011 incident. So I did a search for her on edhat. Seems she crashed her car into a liquor store a few months later (same DoB). Still no mugshot though.

I don't know exacley what time it was when the stabbing occured but I heard it within moments after the call..I hear all units code 3 then when they got there I could hear women crying and screaming thru the backround on the radio. It was maybe 10 minutes after they got there they were reporting where they were and pernimator was set up. It took sometime for the chopper to respond, and the chopper wasn't up long because of the fog. They had 3 K-9 Units there..It was like a well oiled machine. Too bad they did not catch them at this time. After they left the area I heard another sighting over my scanner at 12:15am But I think they were in the wind that time too.
