After my mom died I got her cat. Her very difficult, funny and endearing cat with the big personality. When that cat died 4 years later I cried and cried... but I like to think that they are together again, even though our pastor told me that animals do not have souls. That wasn't very comforting. Thanks a lot, pastor! Sorry for your loss. Peace be with you, and lots of love.

770, I think that all of us who have been close to animals and not only our pets, believe, think that animals have spirit, the equivalent of "soul" - in quotes because I am not at all sure what that is. Sweet picture, sweet sad story and thanks for sharing it!

I'm sorry for the loss, but hopefully the kitty and mom are resting together. Could be that Bearboy couldn't live without his best friend.
