They took this guy to Cottage Hospital. Oh. How secure I feel knowing that people that only a few minutes ago were a major threat are allowed within inches of the elderly, weak, sick, and grieving. All of which are unaware of this lethal presence. This is the stuff movies are made of. Seems to me wiser to have a holding facility at the jail where the evaluation takes place. Not as risky to the general population. Can you imaging if this guy caused chaos at the hospital or escaped and pulled the same tactics in the hospital? This is wrong.

929, I'm absolutely sure they have someone watching him 24/7, and he is likely handcuffed to the bed as well... Can you imagine how much MORE expensive jails will be to taxpayers if they had hospital-esque wings in every one of them? No thank you, I'll take my chances with a guarded, locked-up prisoner in the hospital room next to me anyday

I'm sure this is all a big misunderstanding. He looks like a fine, upstanding young man. Round 'em up and lock 'em up!

Anyone that was walking around the neighborhood that night while Anthony was barracaded in the apartment. Do you re4call the sky lighting up like there was lightening just before the police went in? I remember seeing something like lightening thru the clouds..

I agree with Roger about the caregivers..I work in a field where I deal with caregivers regularly and much of their abuse goes unnoticed and uncared about. Don't make assumptions about this case as none of you are involved. The media, law enforcement, and especially the DA's office have a magical way of making things sound favorable towards them. I personally have lost all respect for the this kind of reporting. In my experience there is always so much more to the story, but you will never hear it.

RE: Caregivers. Just because your elderly loved one is being looked after by a person provided through and AGENCY, it does NOT mean that they are safe. There are several Senior agencies that DO NOT DRUG TEST to save money for themselves. They are putting elderly and injured people at RISK. RE: This BULLY, I am sorry to have to say this but I DON"T CARE IF HE"S SCARED!! He should be scared, like the person he was battering and any children or other unfortunates who had to be in his presence when he was being a BATTERING BULLY. Picking on people weaker than himself is a symptom of a huge problem whether it be drugs, prior abuse etc.
