The Central Library has a nice display of some of her books, and a list of all of them. Check one out!

Nice Griswalds hanging. They are my favorite of the cast iron Do you happen to have the illusive #13 in your collection?

I don't have the #13. All my pots and pans have come from yard and estate sales. If the cast iron has a good interior finish I buy it. I don't care if it's Griswald, Lodge or nameless, all cast iron is wonderful!!

always remember my parents' birthdays. George Washington & Abe Lincoln still have birthdays. I think I'll cook something of Julia's today.

Your books don't show signs of enough use! Mine have stains and broken bindings from being on the counter for years. Don't use them much anymore, though.....now it's epicurious..... Julia certainly revolutionized my kitchen! Happy birthday to her wherever she is.

You have to respect a woman who enjoyed a Costco hotdog, the old Villarreal Market tacos, and could still whip up a classic French dish...RIP dear Julia, truly one of a kind and culinary icon (and one of my idols) who will be remembered for a very long time.
