His new DirectTV commercial is hilarious. He's still got it but the age difference is kinda creepy. Best wishes to them both nevertheless.

"After three failed marriages..." Huh? According to the Internet Movie Database, one marriage lasted 9 years, another 10 years and the third 16 years. How are these "failed marriages"?

I'd marry him because the man is freaking hilarious. OK, maybe not - I'm 28 and the age difference there would freak me out. But honestly, that man is a god to me. If I were her age, it wouldn't be an issue. And that's what pre-nups are for. Don't want people to call you a gold digger? Offer to sign a pre-nup. I feel bad he didn't do that with his last ex.

573, they are described as "three failed marriages" because they did not last until death do us part.

what a buch of cynics! they are "kindred spirits", and that's not easy to come by in life. i just wonder how kindred they would be if he was't famous and wealthy. like if he was just a regular old joe,and also brilliant, funny, fun, old and maybe just on social security...i'm kind of thinking she might find herself someone else to be "kindred spirits" with. good luck mr. cleese.

I don't think Cleese still has a house here, he's been living in Bath for a couple of years at least. He's expressed some bitterness about his time here, because of the nasty divorce. He was public spirited when he was here, though. Good luck to them both.

I don't "get it." When I was 36 I dated a guy 51 who seemed like an old fogey even though he was a tennis pro. Marrying a guy old enough to be my grampa? EEEWWWWW!!!

I know I'm late but I'll pile on, everyone gets it. I was at one of my children's performance and sat next to the mother of one of her co-performers, a stunning woman who looked about my age (low 40s-our kids are 12). A very, very old distinguished gentleman shuffled in and sat beside her. Of course I inserted my foot deep in my mouth and mentioned that my parents were coming too. Of course it was her husband, and the father of the child (I'm guessing he was 75-80 years old). Although I'm sure love is blind, they did drive away in a gorgeous Bentley.

Cleese has never heard the terms "Attorney", "Pre-Nup", "Golddigger", or "contract". He thanks you for your concern and helping him become aware of these options.

I married someone much younger than me (17+ years ago- still together) and when out shopping, etc., people always assume that we are not a couple. I wish we were the same age-but we can't do a thing about it! It is sort of tough on us not being the same age.

My Q is: Why do they feel they have to marry? Why not just keep living together? Eliz. Taylor had eight (8) husbands. Makes a mockery of marriage.
