I'll take someone with some talent asking for a few bucks, such as the guy playing sax, who I've seen many times, and have given money to, rather than the vagrants who just sit there all day with their "God Bless" signs asking for handouts.

Happy anniversary, Roger! I do think you're wrong about something, though. You referred to quite a bit of recent local gang activity. The police chief has said we have no gangs, so you must be mistaken. It never happened. Do you suppose that the chief has ever read "The Emperor's New Clothes?"

I know who the Sax guy is! Just a young college kid who plays on State, pretty good too. I saw some bitter old merchant lady giving him the eye, she was probably who called. Sad.

I saw a ten week old black lab puppy hanging out of a back car door window. He was all the way through except for his back legs. I could not fit him back inside so, with the puppy, I went into the store, called the number on the tag, and when an eleven year old boy showed up, I said get that smile off your face, this isn't funny.

Musicians use the parking structure to practice because it has good accoustics. Silverfish for one.. I think thats his name... And, Roger, I had to defend you to a Police Officer, who was complaining that things posted on EdHat were reported incorrectly all the time... !!! Well, Officer, Roger the Fabulous Scanner guy only reports what he hears over the scanners... You should be complainer about the idiots & knucklheads that made the initial call to 911......

Thank You for the wishes everyone..About the Sax Guy I haven't had any sax in over 10 years I'm jealous! Rex Your right there are No Gangs in Santa Barbara just a few guys out to raise HELL!!! The merchants I remember when Mason B. Mason used to jam downtown one of the merchants across the street from some merchants who were always complaining about him and calling the police. One Day he showed up to play and someone graffitied the wall where he stood with the "N" Word. Mason B. Mason had a heart of Gold poor fella died of stomach cancer.@483 You probley saved that puppys life. D8vanilla It's really hard to hear exacley what the Police Officers are saying when they are chomping down on Donuts and talking into the radio at the same time. I don't always get everything exacley right even I know that but I'm not always wrong either. Many Policer Officers think they are NEVER wrong. Thank You Stace We are lucky to have the Urban Hikers!

I wish someone had taught the 3 year old to get out of her carseat, and unlock/open the car door! That's an awful story. If you save an overheating pet/child from a hot car in the summer by breaking a car window, can you get out of the destruction of personal property charges?
