Glad the big spenders and the dumb-downers are no longer running. Glad the union-fronted candidates are leaving the building. Bring back independence, prudence and educational accountability to our school boards rather than handing them over to narrow, special-interest panderers. This is serious work for grown-ups, not political party lackies who only front the tax and spend crowd. These school board jobs are not handing out free candy only to one's friends who put them in office and then marching lock-step to partisan party mandates.

Don't forget. Look for the union label ..... and vote for the other guy. Schwartz knows as much about K-12 education as she does the city planning process. Nuff said.

Deborah Schwartz has a terrible track record. She failed (as a political appointee) on both the county Historic Landmarks Commission and the city Planning Commission, and lost her bid for election to the Santa Barbara City Council. And now she wants to run for the school board when she knows nothing about it???

Looks like the big voter revolution at SBCC last election drew goose eggs for candidates this time around.
