If you want to get an area closed, just plant a few toads.

Plant toads in all City Council chambers and at the Board of Supervisors room and maybe common sense can prevail without these self-absorbed politicians spending/wasting our money on pet/political paybacks.....

So while I am an avid dirtbiker and love riding divide I am ok with this. I hate it how wildlife goes un-cared for and then you just never see it anymore. Some of you older guys remember what Horned Lizards aka Horny Toads were, when was the last time you saw those? I grew up catching those and now a days you're lucky to see one...BUT on the other hand I think they need to re-open another trail or area if they close one, now it's just Upper Oso that's close by for us to ride....

It's a gnarly mountain bike ride. I had to walk a couple of sections thru the babyheads. The views, however, are absolutely fabulous. Take lots of water, spare tubes and pump, extra layer of clothing, and get back well before dusk. Don't leave ANYTHING in your car.

823-We can still ride divide. This doesn't close off any OHV areas. Though I would like to know why the Camuesa road OHV route is permanently gated off before Mono campground/Little Caliente :(

Closing this area for a whole year seems way too drastic and it darn well better not be permanent! Maybe there is more than meets the eye going on here with upcoming deer season, drought, fire and pot growers. Pray for an El Nino and it will wash them all away, naturally.
