Did some people put in some unpermitted artificial reefs close by Gaviota Beach to attract more marine life? I guess it attracted sharks as well.

And in more recent news observers frequenting local beaches have discovered water is wet. Seriously people our channel is the equivalent of the 405 freeway for the man in the grey tuxedo. 99.999% of the time we just dont see them, but they are there. But dont let that stop you from going in the water, just be aware.

How big is "large". I see so many different varieties of shark out there and have had fish bitten off the line by them regularly. What is meant by "large"?

195 and whoever: The only artificial reef reported is off Arroyo Burro, per the Independent and Edhat, though I only looked up the Indie. I think if there were another artificial reef, someone might've seen it put in place. Correlation is not causation.

Much ado about nothing. Great whites kill less than 2 people a year for the entire world. Cars kill anywhere from 30-40k people in the US alone every year.

195, no. Sharks have been around these waters since the beginning of....these waters. This is not at all unusual. They were here first!

I grew up on Miramar Beach, 1940s and 50s, but never heard of a Great White until recent years.
