I stuck it on manual thinking I'd hear something from the Sheriff..Some of those damn freq. The scanner gets stuck on channels over and over again..You have to constantly hit scan...

I passed thru there about 4pm, and it smelled more like methane(big dig on the creek South of there) I just figured they hit a particularly nasty patch.

Methane (natural gas) is odorless. The gas company adds skunkish compounds to make it easier to detect leaks. The natural slough smell is probably sulfur compounds.
