Is that time correct? The Heaven's Above website is reporting a start time of 21:50:58 local time (9:50pm) tonite (Aug 8).

I saw it go over on the night of the Mars rover landing. Mars was very bright that night (I think it was Mars, maybe venus) and the space station passed right over it. Coincidence? The odds are astronomical.

I believe the OP and comment 006 are both correct. The discrepency arises from the ability to filter 'visible' passes on the heavens above website.

I was at the Nora Jones concert (County Bowl Tuesday) and she perhaps unknowingly, serenaded the space station while it danced through the stars within view of the audience. It was a beautiful clear evening and seeing it soar by was majical, on many levels.
