Very Beautiful. They are not native to Hawaii, but most people think of Hawaii when they think of the Plumeria. I wonder when the plane was introduced there.

Thanks for the whiff!

I have several including one huge one that started in a one gallon can from La Sumida on Milpas more than thirty years ago. They are doing exceptionally well this summer. Plumeria (Frangipani) and tuberose are two smells I always associate with the Islands.

"the plane, the plane!" Is it carrying Plumeria?

We live on the west side, at the bottom of Valerio and, unfortunately, the frosts are torturing our plumeria to death. I wish it was warmer in this part of town.

Gorgeous! I can imagine how incredible it smells in the summer afternoon heat. So happy we're actually getting a summer this year!

040, when frost is predicted cover the plants with a light blanket. Or, put some in pots (just break off a piece and plant) and move inside or to the garage when it's cold.

We live in the foothills and also have a very large plumeria. It's in a pot but on a wheeled thing so we can move it under the eaves during the winter. It was also started from a small one gallon pot. It's now huge and it is also doing really, really well this summer! Our entire yard is perfumed. Before we had it on wheels we placed a lightweight frost protector sheet on it in the winter as needed and it did just fine.

mmmmmmmmmah Plumeria. Think it would do okay in a solarium?

I was told that Plumeria would not survive in the Santa Yney Valley but mine have been doing great for years.
