It's quite possible Lakey could bring home a world championship in 2013. We haven't seen one of those on the central coast since Tom Curren won his 3rd world title over 20 years ago!

I have sent my 9yo son to the Surf Happens camp for the past 2yrs and while he has no professional aspirations, he's gotten really good, really fast thanks to Chris Keet, Tarik Kashoggi and Demi Boelsteri. We think it's phenomenal. There is something to be said for their crew that 2 former campers (Lakey and Connor coffin) won their respective titles at the us open this week. They beat the locals quite handily.

315P, Surf Happens is an awesome program with fantastic mentors, it's no surprise your little one has gotten so good. Tarik is easily a pro level surfer (and is an industry pro for that matter) and Demi might be the central coast's best kept secret, i've never seen a female surfer who can air out like she does. a videographer will eventually catch one of her airs on film and it will shock the surfing world.
