Nicole, your article was truly a Godsend....my beautiful 40ish sister just went thru major surgery and is recovering and going thru much of what you describe. I sent the article to her and am very sure it is going to be a healing force in her recovery. BEAUTIFUL story. Beautiful cat. I admire your tenacity regarding running but if it gets too tough just remember...you can use the shoes for walking in lovely places. Also very healing. Good luck! whatever you do.

Nicole, I love your writing style and cats. This story is the best one so far in that you made me cry (in a good way). It made me think of my own two wonderful cats. The mama cat came to me right after I lost my second parent in a year, my dad. She is such a love and she purrs so loud, especially when she sits on my chest. I totally understand how you feel about your cat. Her vibrations are so healing. I kept one of her four kittens because he also chose me, he is also a love. I don't know what I'd do without my two kitties.
