Funny how convicted law breakers try to hide behind the law to save their own cowardly patoutes.

347, it is all part of our judicial system. Yes, his crimes are heinous but he will get what is coming to him in due time.

This guy was convicted of the crimes of which he is accused. Maybe in this case the conviction reflects the reality of what he was alleged to have done....

HOWEVER, in a very large proportion of cases which have ended in capital punishment in this country throughout history, the overwhelming proportion of those who have been executed were convicted on the grounds of corrupt witnesses, corrupt law enforcement officers, corrupt DAs, corrupt judges, incompetent defense lawyers or public defenders and racism. Furthermore, the overwhelming majority of people who have been executed (ie murdered by the State) were of poor financial standing, meaning that they were incapable of purchasing justice, as wealthy people can, and do, with great effect.

407, "very large" and "overwhelming proportion"? On what grounds are you basing that opinion on? Cite the study.

And before you go off half cocked, I'd be open to discussing abolishing the death penalty, as long as the alternative were an equally horrible existence in confinement -- i.e., no country club and suing for crunchy peanut butter.

I'm glad we have a justice system in this country that allows for things other than a woodchipper. I wish people would respect the country and the principles we're founded on. Otherwise, go live someplace else.

I'm also glad he's not being let off.
