Awwwh Mittens loves McDonald's. Maybe you should send that to McDonald's Corp. Mittens would be famous for sure. Thanks for adopting her. Shelter pets love McDonald's. It's the first place we take our rescues.

Very cute cat. Did she tolerate ( i.e. not get sick) eating the cheeseburger?

This is Amanda, Mitten's mama. Thanks for all the nice comments! 843- yes, she was fine after having a few bites of the cheeseburger. She doesn't normally get human food though! Right now her diet is EVO (by Innova) wet and dry food, which is pretty good quality.

Thanks for sharing! Great pics & video, I'm still giggling. Aaah, the pleasures of "cat torture," like hats and... well, cat owners know. (pulling a footing, like a sheet of paper or plastic, out from under them and watching a 3 foot vertical spring; catnip; a loose rubber band on the base of the tail; tin foil booties -- whatever you can get away with and both enjoy.)

Puglsey bugged me one day I was canning tomatoes. He followed me out to the garden where I trench-composted the peels and cores, pestering me as if I was carrying fishheads. Round and round my ankles, setting up a chorus. Finally to prove him wrong, I put down a small dish of chopped fresh tomatoes and juice--a couple tablespoons worth. He gobbled them up and asked for more! Cats. Aren't we lucky there is such a species!

Please no rubberbands on tails or anyhere! If your cat pulls it off it can be swallowed and may cause intestinal blockage when it's stretchy properties can tangle in loops. It can be a slow and painful death for a cat. I too love cats and playing with them is wonderful--just no rubber bands please!!!

Cat-nut here and I want to say that there are things on a Cheeseburger that could give kitty permanent kidney/liver problems or failure. Onions, garlic, etc. - don't know about mustard- can do harm to your kitty. Just buy the darn cat a piece of meat and cook it up, plain and she'll really love it-and stay healthy-or stick to the super-safe canned cat food. Good luck! She's adorable.
