Slow speed, high speed, whatever. The very vehicle the susepct was driving is a weapon. On top of this the suspect was armed and extremly dangerous!!!! Thank dog we have highly trained and skilled law enforcement officers that do know when to draw down and use deadly force. Makes me feel much safer! Thank you SBSO!

Wow! on the deleted comment with FU. Slow speed or fast chase, if the guy really got out and picked up a gun, the police didn't have much choice. Some police may have a cowboy complex of "Shoot the bad guys," but I think when it actually happens, it is traumatic for most of them. It's not a video game.

Julian, If you pull a gun on the police you can count on being shot. There are so many being killed because they are dumb enough to threaten cops. I'd rather know the dumb one was killed than having him kill the policeman

Saved us a lot of money. Give the officer a couple weeks PAID leave to help get over it and $1 to cover the cost of his bullets.

The only "sad" thing about this, is that this coward forced a cop (s) to have to pull their guns out and kill him- Those officers will have to live with that the rest of their lives. This selfish coward has no sympathy from me. He risked innocent lives when he made his decision to run and recklessly drive through SM at a high rate of speed with guns out.
