Chick-Fil-A wants it and the owner of the building decided not to renew the contract with Burger King. I *wish* I was making that up.

Chick-Fil-A is going in its place, giving Santa Barbarans the opportunity to more easily boycott them.

If only they could be open by Aug 1 so I could openly share my hatred of gays with fellow homophobes.

Chick-Fil-A owner has a Freedom of Religion right to his own personal beliefs and shoppers have a right to support or reject anything in the open market place. (except apparently health insurance mandates) If this place puts out a good product, I will buy it.

Another fast food chain selling a diet of soft-kill. Eat there often and don't forget to super-size everything. Natural selection rules.

Burger King was HORRIBLE. I'm glad to see it go but wish it was going to be something better than Chick-Fil-A which I will be boycotting.

941, I guess people can justify anything if it's for the almighty dollar, then? If someone is a good business person, then that's just fine. I do agree with you on one point, though. Everyone has the choice to boycott or patronize any open marketplace business. Some of us have a conscience though and it makes it hard to know that people are not willing to live in peace with others.....but they're willing to take their money to make a profit. Pretty hard to swallow, no matter how much batter and spices they put on it.

Old garbage moves out, new garbage moves in. The fact that the owner is a bigot is just more reason not to eat that junk they call "food".

Boycotting Chick-Fil-A is terribly similar to those who you can't stand so much who protest gay relationships/marriage. Don't eat there, simple as that.

I can't wait to patronize the new Chik-Fil-A. Do not do business with them if you choose not to do so but at least educate yourself on the truth. Despite all of the misinformation, they do not discriminate in serving the public or in their hiring practices, nor have they ever done so. They treat their employees and customers with the utmost respect. They do close their business so their employees have an opportunity to rest, spend time with family and friends, and worship if they choose to do so. They must be doing something right as their business has expanded and done quite well since 1946. Last year they did more than 4 billion dollars in business.
