I heard that medics revived the subject, a runner in his late 50s. No word on his condition. Hope he is OK.

This is what i've heard... he was a cyclist participating in the triathlon. CHP was holding up traffic to let bicyclists thru and a woman driving a car stopped right in the way and the cyclist slammed into her car. The cyclist is in bad shape. Very sad.

There were two accidents (one cyclist and one runner) during the Goleta Beach Triathlon. The event was very well organized and very well supported by volunteers, public safety and emergency/fire persons AND also raised $$ for Goleta Beach Park. I am hoping (and praying) that both individuals are ok today.
