Funny, I live in the area with a clear view of the mountains and surrounding area and didn't hear or see any such thing. And believe me, with this marine layer the noise would've been noticeable.

They were spraying avocado trees at a farm - my kid's preschool had a notice up telling parents it was happening, so I guess at least the farm had to tell some people...

Didn't look like they were spraying to me, but maybe so. Kept circling quite low for well over an hour.
