She is 8 years old her name is Maria...I missed the rest of the discription. She was last seen around 1000 Steps aprox 45 minutes ago.

Harbor Patrol is crusing the beach looking for the child. As SBPD covers other places in the area usually by searching this way they usually find the missing person pretty quick..

I hope it's not the same little girl that went missing at Shoreline on the 4th of July! How do you lose your 8 year old?

I hope this little girl is found right away. How terrifying for all involved! @380: You'd be surprised how quickly this could happen. It does not necessarily mean that the parent(s) were not watching either. Please reserve judgement until we hear all the details. Update as you can, Roger! Thanks.

There is GPS on the older folks that wander off from retirement communities with those Search and Rescue is able to trace their whereabouts. GPS for everyone police are really good when it comes to searching for missing people.
