I love the shot from the air and the colorful blankets. It's like the yarn tree, only on grass. While I love the look for the photo, I'm sad to see this event is just like the parades, where you have to establish your turf early in the day to get a decent seat. I really don't agree with this reserve your spot practice in SB.

Even though this was a popular event, we were able to find free parking just a few blocks away. We arrived well after the performance had started and there were still plenty of good seats.

Yeah, though there was a good crowd, there was plenty of space still. And the "crowd" is lovely ~ so much life in the kids and the happy mood. I said to my husband, it's good for all ages, there's something for everyone. Families, friends, couples, singles, everyone friendly. It really felt like a happy old fashioned party in the park, everyone enjoying themselves and each other and the music.
