Yes I think there have been some recent transplants to the neighborhood that are trouble. I wonder what ever happened to the woman they found unresponsive with blood all over her in a yard there a month ago..

I want to ad this at aprox. 4am FRYday morning numerous reporting partys in the area of Cottage Hospital called in to report Shots Fired in the area. SBPD Responded to the area. Some of the reporting partys reported seeing flashes from the gun shots..One person reported that a car comming from a party in the area might have had something to do with it. While police were searching the area a suspicous vehicle was discovered in the area of Encina Lodge. The vehicle had nothing to do with the shots fired (I don't think so anyway.) There was a single male occupant in the vehicle dressed only in his underpants? (That is what I heard police say, be intresting if they were Milpas Underpants.) Anyway the fellas name was ran and I reconized his name it was the same name of a man police ran last week who was found next to a trash can in the 400 Block of North Milpas. The same guy I suggested that someone might have thrown out..Mr. Dog House anyway next time he gets thrown out I hope someone gives him some clothes. No exact source of the shots fired were found. I don't know what happened to Underwear Man but the registratered owner of the vehicle did not match Underwear Mans name the vehicle might have been stolen. And that was all I heard.

I heard those gun shots! Kinda was confused there for a second, I thought I was living in East L.A. again! Ha. I seriously hope no one was injured. I live next door to Cottage, and kept waiting to hear screaming or something...but no. Just gun shots. I called 911, and they had already been notified. At first, I thought it was the parking lot. Sometimes cars leave rather hastily, and they make loud noises with their tires when they cross the bumpers. But, it was not the garage. I am glad you are here telling us of what you heard on the radio, Roger! Thank you! You're my guy!

Thanks again, Roger, you rock. I posted about the noise as an addendum to the Brandon noise question (I think it was Brandon.) Dang! The Encina is about 3 blocks from me! That was really loud. And as I said, I could even smell it. I'm going on about this because I've often wondered how to determine what is a gunshot noise.

Roger, your "drink water" advice might save someone the trauma you described. Even if it's not as bad as your experience, dehydration can cause problems on a hot day, any day, but especially a hot one.
