This is an historically and culturally rich area begging for good pedestrian connections between the Mission and the SB Natural History Museum. But presently, these pedestrian connection some of the worst and most dangerous in the city. Particularly when used by out of town tourists, who are not familiar with the multiple and now recognized hazards. To wit: 1. broken sidewalk access 2. rough pavement, roots, uneven surfaces, 3. no cross walks where required, 4. chronic speeding, 5. impaired sight lines, 6. cross walks than end in the middle of a bus stop, 7. requirement of multiple, busy, high traffic street crossings just to go in a straight line 8. dismal to no signage
