Sounds like the fire is still going although I'm not there. It sounds like they are closing the 2nd lane on the freeway. I'm assuming the number one lane is already closed probley temporary.

A second alarm and a helicopter for a two acre fire next to the freeway in Santa Maria?? This sounds like incompetence to me! I was also under the impression according to the Board of Supervisors that county fire no longer had a helicopter program that it all belongs to the Sheriff's Dept. am I wrong? Or is this just another county fire press release trying to fool the public
