044, With the prevalence and high quality imagery of tools like Google Maps and the hoards of readily available aerial imagery all over the internet in this day and age, you think one dude taking pictures from an airplane is the problem? Keep it up John, I for one enjoy your posts!!!!!!

I too find these closeups troubling. For anybody who is concerned the law typically will forbade pictures of private property if a sign is clearly posted. If your personal safety is at stake then an injunction will likely be granted.

I agree with the invasion of privacy concerns, these photos often get more close up than Google can get when a home is remote. I think that it is inappropriate to photograph people's homes and their immediate yards.... On the other hand, I do love to see the little lakes & ponds that are in random places and the coastline & flowers blooming, those types of things I think are gorgeous and not invasive :)

060 that is false information. Photographing private property from public domain (within reason, e.g. no telephoto lens or taking pictures from a hidden location) is 100% allowable. The air is not private property. The information you are giving is for when someone is taking photographs while ON private property that is considered a "public" place (for instance, on a private beach that allows public access). In that case, yes, you are not allowed to take photos IF signs are posted - if not, anything goes! The air above property is NOT owned by the property owner, only the land.

@060: Give it a rest and quit trying to stir the pot. I mean really. This is what gets your panties in a bunch?! There are way more serious matters in life to get worked up over. Come on now, big inhale and just.... LET IT GO !! Nice photo. Thanks for sharing!

7060... a photo of a pond disturbs you?? Then you are way too easily disturbed. The photo has a very nice Impressionist feel about it.... I like it.

John, I LOVE your photos and they always add a bright spot to my day. I've viewed them and your comments for a long time and I'm convinced you'd never intrude on anyone's privacy. This gorgeous photo would not have shown up if a person had been around. It's lovely. As are you. Please keep posting your little "gifts" to us.

I'm with Becky. BTW whenever you are outdoors, you're no longer "private". Get over it. Take a deep breath. Enjoy the scenery. Unless there are mosquitos; then cover thine-self or leave the area! ;-) Good one John, thank you for sharing. I've appreciated this little bit of natural art today. Very nice.

I appreciate knowing that many people are enjoying the pix, because it's sweet to share the joys of living and flying. Sometimes I've felt some sadness and concern for the person who seems to enjoy sowing negativity. I do hope some day a change will happen that leads to more happiness in that person's life. Meanwhile, it's great to be alive in SB. :)

I would love to see a view of the lone house at the top of the mountain in Buellton. I see it standing all alone high atop the hill between 246 and Nojoqui. Visable from Solvang at the river and Buellton behind the ranches on 246.

Thanks for asking, #099. There are pix of Nojoqui and the waterfall above it here on my Photo Page. There's an added one stimulated by your request, due to wondering if I'd ever snapped a glimpse of the top thru the trees. I might try again with my new camera in Spring if we have a heavy rain before the leaves come in.
