Motorcyclist Down he called in does not know where he is..City and County Fire and Medics looking for him. He thinks he is between Santa Monica and Cravens Lane he is over the side with possibly broken ribs.

Engine 5 searched for him in the city from Calle Palo Corlorado to Mission Canyon. Montecito Fire searched 3200 Block of Foothill..

Fire and Medics are blaring siren he is on the phone letting them know if the siren is close or far away..Says he doesn't know if he made it to Cravens Lane remembers Santa Monica.

He reports he can't hear the siren he's down in the bushes..Engine 62 Medics and SBSO heading towards Cravens Lane with sirens blaring looking for him..

Another accident on Foothill. Shocking. (Hope you get well soon.) I suggest that you call on Janet Wolf after you heal and corner her into doing something about this very dangerous road! You probably won't get very far though as I've called her many, many times and she doesn't return my calls.

477P: I think the road is cursed. I know people doing the speed limit on a nice day who just went over the side (witnesses behind & in front had no clue why). It's a weird road. Course, if you are being the slightest bit of an idiot while driving/riding there, you're toast.

love riding in that area, it's just a fact that sometimes you gotta pay to play. we all take calculated risks, some more than others. also not the best road for big heavy cruiser bikes or superbikes with tons of power. great for an old dual sport or lighter street bikes with an upright riding position.

I too, don't understand how foothill is construed as dangerous? I'd say moreso for bikes, as the lane essentially disappears east/south of Alamar. For cars/motorcycles though, I don't see the danger..
