Great shots, glad the pup has a home. I just renewed my membership today. The SB Zoo is a great place to explore and a fun place to practice photography :-)

"Released" into a zoo? That's a rather interesting spin...

Hubby and I were at the zoo this afternoon and had no idea the fox was new to the zoo! He was VERY active and a REAL beauty.

So glad he is safe and doing well. Have a lot of nice memories at the SB Zoo - they are truly kind to their animals.

Glad they have a new fox. Hope they breed more and re-stock the islands. Ya know bring some kind of balance back to nature.

I hope this one fares better than the last one. We watched it one day pacing back and forth, back and forth against the fence for the longest time. It was really a sad sight.

why was it given to the zoo, and not taken to the island?

It was taken from the island because it was found and reared by humans (and not releasable since it hasn't learned survival skills). Not sure if it was abandoned, as the story didn't state that. Love the last pic. <3 the Navy!
