3731.... You have to admit that some of the posts are pretty ludicrous. "There was a big bang in my neighbour's yard last night ... what's going on?" is a better reason to call the neighbour than post a community wide alert. I understand that we live in the age of Tweets with limited characters to get our points across or text messages where it just takes too long to bother to make sense. If you can't be bothered to make sense you should expect the knee jerk reactions from people reading that stuff. Take responsibility for what you write, is all. Re-read it before hitting the send button and read from the pov of a total stranger clear across town or the county, not your bff or your aunt in Pacoima who just loves to hear from you no matter what.

What's going on? I think you could extrapolate from your observations that someone called in a medical emergency and requested an ambulance somewhere. Is it that important to know the location of the victim or to confirm the nature of the medical problem? If it's a friend or relative, I'm sure someone will tell you.

I hear ya OP. I have done the same thing and then kicked myself after all the snotty, mean, comments came in. That is why I don't post anything about what's going on in my hood anymore. It's NOT worth it. It's too bad... =(

I didn't mean for Edhat to post this directly, I emailed them wondering if Roger had heard anything on his scanner. Oh well, I'll put on my fire suit and wait for more hate about reporting the goings-on of my neighborhood.
